Venue

The conference will take place at a conference centre in Skukuza Rest Camp located in the Kruger National Park. 

Skukuza is the Kruger National Park’s largest rest camp and administrative headquarters. It is situated on the southern banks of the Sabie River. The camp is well foliaged and there are many lofty trees along the river’s edge. Activities and facilities are diverse, as there are animals and plants found both within the camp and in the surrounding areas.

A daily park fee is applicable. This is included in the conference registration for delegates, but for logistic reasons cannot be included in the accompanying person’s fee. The following daily fees for delegates staying additional days and accompanying persons needs to be paid at the gate or at the reception upon arrival:

Late arrivals are only allowed in cases of emergency (proof and valid reason required) until 21:00 for guests with pre-booked accommodation at certain camps within 10km distance from the relevant gate. An extra late arrival fee will be charged which is payable at the gate. No late arrivals are allowed at Pafuri, Phalaborwa or Phabeni Gates or any other gates for camps more than 10km away. The late arrival fee for Skukuza camp is R500.

Camp gates close at 17:30 each night and open at 06:00 in the morning.

Skukuza Rest Camp Shop cater for both curios and basic grocery provisions. Alternatively, breakfast is served by the two restaurants in the camp.

CATTLE BARON SKUKUZA

Cattle Baron Skukuza is located in an impressive setting in the Kruger National Park overlooking the river. The large outdoor deck is an excellent place to spot wildlife and numerous bird species. Elephants and lions are frequently spotted along this route. At night, look for the Fruit Bat that hangs under the leaves, and the thick-tailed Bush Baby climbing the trees. Cattle Baron Skukuza offers breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as guest WiFi.

AMUKELEKANI RESTAURANT IN SKUKUZA SAFARI LODGE

Experience the culinary delights of the Amukelekani Restaurant, located within Skukuza Safari Lodge. The restaurant is renowned for serving scrumptious meals throughout the day, offering a delightful selection for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The restaurant breakfast is not only for Safari Lodge guests.
