IASC provides international contacts among statisticians, computing professionals, organizations, institutions, governments, and the general public world-wide and fosters cooperation and interchange between them. Particularly, this is done by:

  • organizing as well as sponsoring Conferences,
  • establishing Regional Sections,
  • organizing Summer Schools,
  • maintaining a Mailing List.

Currently, two regional sections are established:

  • the European Regional Section (ERS), which organises the biennial COMPSTAT meeting,

    • the Asian Regional Section (ARS), which organises the Asian Conference every three years.

    IASC seeks to extend its regional presences in all other parts of the world. There are close contacts to the Interface Foundation of North America and IASC is regularly sponsoring a session at the annual INTERFACE meeting. IASC particularly works on its outreach to the Middle East and South America.
