One-year (renewable) post-doc position at the Institute for Biomedicine of Eurac Research
offered to a postdoctoral Clinical Epidemiologist with proven ability to explore large databases from different sources.

The Institute for Biomedicine is running the Cooperative Health Research in South Tyrol (CHRIS) study, a population-based study on the cardiometabolic and neurological health of 11,000+ general population subjects. Collected information comprises clinical data from interviews and instrumental assessments, pedigrees, genetic data from SNP arrays and whole exome sequencing, and metabolomics. The postdoc will combine complex and high dimensional clinical and biomolecular data to identify population subgroups characterized by altered cardiometabolic and neurological risk profiles and to generate new hypotheses related to the onset and progression of common chronic diseases.

To this aim, we seek a candidate with experience in clinical epidemiology and passion for large dataset exploration. The successful candidate will perform applied research in collaboration with colleagues of various disciplines (biostatistics, bioinformatics, and biology), and lead manuscript drafting for peer-reviewed publication.
