The Journal of the Chinese Statistical Association (JCSA) is now accepting submissions. We welcome original research and insightful contributions in the following categories:

Theory and Methods
We expect papers in this category to contribute original advancements in the theory or methodology of statistics and probability. It is recommended that research motivations be rooted in scientific problems or practical applications. Concrete examples should be used to validate the research results, enhancing the paper’s persuasiveness. Papers should include rigorous theoretical derivations, innovative methodologies, and specific case studies demonstrating their effectiveness and value in solving practical problems.

Applications and Case Studies
We seek papers that demonstrate innovation in science and statistics through example analysis or apply existing statistical methods to new data analyses, thereby promoting advancements in other scientific fields. Papers should include detailed case studies illustrating the applicability of the methods and their ability to solve specific problems. Even if the paper lacks methodological innovations, it may still be accepted if it provides valuable case analyses and applications.

Statistics and Probability Education
Articles in this category aim to offer unique insights into specific topics in statistics and probability or showcase innovative teaching methods. Articles should include theoretical background, specific examples of teaching practices, and evaluations of educational outcomes, thereby contributing to the development and improvement of statistics and probability education.

Short Papers or Commentaries
Papers in this category should offer profound and unique insights into specific issues. Although the results may not be entirely novel, the insights should differ from existing research and provoke deep thought and discussion among readers. Submissions should be substantive, well-argued, and presented clearly and concisely, typically limited to 10 pages.

Review Papers
Review papers aim to provide comprehensive reviews and analyses of specific topics, summarizing existing research results, identifying research trends, and proposing future research directions and recommendations.

Letters to the Editor
These letters should include brief comments on previously published papers or corrections of errors within them. Submissions should be concise and provide specific evidence to support the viewpoints or corrections proposed.

Submission Format:

Papers should primarily be written in English, but Chinese submissions are also welcome. For format uniformity, manuscripts should be organized in the following order: title, abstract, keywords, introduction, methods, examples or simulations, conclusion, and references. If submitting in Chinese, please include an English title and a 300-word English abstract; if submitting in English, please include a Chinese title and abstract. For detailed formatting guidelines, please refer to previously published papers in the journal.

Submission Process:

Please email your manuscript to jcsa40@ncu.edu.tw and include the author(s) and their affiliation(s) in the email. The journal follows a double-blind review process, so the manuscript must not contain the author’s name or any clues to the author’s identity, including citations of unpublished work and sources of funding. Accepted papers will be published by the Chinese Statistical Association after obtaining the authors’ nonexclusive authorization.
